Some of you (Ms. Nancy I know you will) may recognize this picture from our visit last January. I used Joey's iphone at the time to get the shot, but re-took it today to get better quality. It's Andy Warhol's painting of the Chinese communist Mao Zedong.

One of my favorites. So simple, but so bold. We think this was designed by the people at Home Depot :)

The reason for this visit was to try and get some inspiration for my portfolio. I'll write about that another day. It seems like it's going to be more of a challenge than expected.Oh, and did you know the Met allows you to pay any amount? It's suggested for adults to pay 20 bucks each, but we always pay what we feel is right. Like for today we paid 5 bucks for both of us since we were only in there for an hour or so. On the way out we gave our pins to a family, so they basically got 2 free passes.
Remember the photographer, Gregory Crewdson, that we saw while eating at Pastis? Yeah, his work is in the Met! We saw it in the photography section today.
