Post Comps Funness.

First and foremost, Joey is done with comps! He got the questions he was hoping for and slaughtered it. After the sweat and tears put into it, a celebratory night was in order. :)

Nadya started the night off by having a Sangria night at her place. In the background you'll notice the pretty sunflowers I brought her since she was going to have a group of belligerent post comps people in her beautiful apartment. :)

We love Nadya! Especially the way she says my name...meleeesa.

Tori and Joey!

There are so many awesome people up here, but these two are my favorite. Tori leaves for Houston in less than a month. Her going away party is going to be a sob fest. :(

Ian and I were talking about how we felt like outsiders with Tori and Joey since they've been having "vip" study sessions for comps. We thought these photos artistically portrayed our emotions. Hahaha...

Great picture of Nadya! I love the way pictures look with no flash, but it's so hard to do when people are moving around.

View of the Empire State Building while hailing cabs outside Nadya's apartment.

Our first stop was the Brass Monkey in the Meatpacking District. On the way, Mike spotted a tour bus right next to us and suggested we scream at the tourists to go home. And we did. And it was one of my all time favorite NY moments. "Go home, you suck!" The tour guide was not amused, but our cab driver sure was. The tour guide probly said, "That's NY folks. The one city where you are not welcome..." Don't get me wrong, on a day to day basis I give directions with a smile on my face and am very polite. It's the inconvenience and ignorance that occurs creating all of this pent up energy. For example, instead of walking on one side of the sidewalk, they take up the entire sidewalk moving the pace of a sloth, making them impossible to bypass. The sidewalk is like our highway. You have to merge, stay to the right, and if you have to stop moving then pull over out of the way. This is a quote from a funny blog that sums it up nicely:

"August is the absolute worst. They come in from everywhere. From Europe, from China and Japan... and from the Midwest. From New Jersey and all-over the tri-state area. They stumble, dazed, through the Port Authority, spilling out onto Eighth Avenue blinking their eyes at the bright lights. They stand around in packs, figuring out which way to go next. They get on the bus, ask a bunch of questions and step off again. Or they decide to ride and don't have change or a MetroCard, so they thrust two one-dollar bills at the driver, like he's gonna stick them in his pocket. Once they find some sucker who'll cough up change, they refuse to move to the back of the bus. They cluster near the rear door, whole families, every one of them wearing a fanny-pack. And they just won't move when it comes time. They can't get out of the damn way. If there's an unofficial slogan in New York, it's this: "KEEP IT MOVING"."

*Pops a blood pressure pill*

Continuing on...Brass Monkey was fun! They have this awesome rooftop area with a nice view of the Hudson.

Ian making Tori laugh. :)

We saw the spot where the infamous Kelly/Bethany feud took place from the housewives of NY.

After that we headed over to the Crocodile Lounge in the East Village to meet up with Joey's bandmates. This place is known for giving you a ticket for a free pizza with any drink order. Not a bad deaaaal! They then attempted to come up with a band name....with no luck. If you guys have any cool band name suggestions, leave em' in the comments section yo.

Toodles!
